After much consideration, contemplation, and days spent arguing with myself, I'm going out on a limb and making my Oscar predictions for the four major acting categories. Keep in mind the actual nominees won't even be announced until bright and early January 22nd, so that limb I'm crawling out on is mighty wobbly. While I don't believe I'm that far off, there's a possibility - although I'd like to believe it's a slim one - that one of my picks to win might not even make the list of nominees.
The following educated guesses do not necessarily reflect my personal feelings as to who deserves to take home a golden statuette. These are the folks I believe will wind up receiving the most checkmarks next to their names on Oscar ballots. Without further ado, here they are:
