I also missed Sweeney Todd taking home the Art Direction Award. Talk about your bad luck - what a horrible time to have TV issues...

So what did we miss when Bardem took the stage? Part of his speech included a thank you to his directors: "Thank you to the Coens for being crazy enough to think I could do that and for putting one of the most horrible haircuts in history over my head." Bardem became the first Spanish actor to earn an Oscar with this win. Bardem dedicated the award to Spain and his mother.
