Jon Stewart introduced the next two presenters: "One of the next presenters is one of the funniest people I've ever met in my entire life, and I believe she's being joined by Steve Carell. Please welcome Anne Hathaway and Steve Carell." Carell thanked Stewart for his kind introduction and then went on list off the nominees for the next category in a very, very serious tone. Rattling off the nominees for best documentary, he was interrupted by co-presenter Hathaway who let him know they were handling Best Animated Feature Film duty. Sidenote: thank goodness The Office is coming back soon. We need more Carell on TV.

The rat who cooks won! Brad Bird took home his second Oscar for Ratatouille. Bird loves to talk and did a great job with his speech. Humorous and heartfelt, Bird had to be prompted to wrap things up and did so reminding people to keep dreaming.
