by Jurgen Fauth & Marcy Dermansky

Todd Haynes's "I'm Not There" Leads With Four Nominations

The Independent Spirit Awards nominations are out. Announced live this morning by actors Zach Braff and Lisa Kudrow, the nominations herald the start of a crowded awards season. Todd Haynes's I’m Not There came out the biggest winner, with four nominations including Best Feature, Best Director and Best Supporting Actor nominations for Marcus Carl Franklin and Cate Blanchett, who both play Bob Dylan.

Jeffrey Blitz's first feature Rocket Science received three nominations, including Best First Feature and a Best Supporting Actress nod for the marvelous Anna Kendrick.
